Our first subsidiary is established, Sties Termo-Transport Danmark, which later changes its name to Nor-Cargo Thermo Danmark.

Kosmos sells Sties to Nor-Cargo A/S. The specialist know-how that Sties can offer helps Nor-Cargo to expand and strengthen its product offering.

Sties moves into its new premises at Lysaker, and Øystein Stie sells the enterprise to Kosmos.

Sties begins construction of a large new office at Lysaker, outside Oslo, including a covered fish market and chilled storage.

Sties begins transports to Russia which, at this time, is still 'behind the Iron Curtain', with tough restrictions for import clearance.

Rising demand for export of meat and seafood. Sties has by now established a large fleet of modern thermal transport trucks, and its drivers are well respected on the roads and border crossings of Europe.

Sties christens its first mechanically chilled truck.

Sties Termo-Transport A/S (Sties) is established by Øystein Stie. His first truck is a 1956 Scania Vabis L71 (Regent) with trailer, equipped with an insulated cabinet for transport of frozen spinach from Frionor Produktor. Dry ice is used to keep the cabinet chilled.
