Home Delivery Project is a new service from the Post Office. This service is tailor-made for larger delivery jobs in which the recipient is a private individual. A project may typically involve distribution of home PCs to employees of a company. Mass mailings, such as in connection with campaigns, are another example.
This service involves delivery to the door throughout Norway. Standard delivery period: 17.00-21.00. In remote areas, delivery will take place via rural postmen (daytime or evenings). The time will be agreed in advance.
It goes without saying that we handle several items per recipient and guarantee safe, punctual delivery. We send a letter out in advance to recipients with a specific delivery date, and we offer a service telephone line for recipients and regular reports to customers while the job is in progress.
We require the use of EDI and offer parcel tracing right up to the recipient’s door.
Liability/Limitation of liability
The Post Office’s liability for the transport is regulated by the Act on Road Shipping Contracts. The Post Office’s compensation liability for domestic transport in accordance with the Act on Road Shipping Contracts is currently limited to 17 SDR per kg for the gross weight of the goods lost.
No-one at home
If nobody is at home on the delivery date, the parcels have to be picked up at a local post office. A message is then sent to the recipient concerning the consignment which has arrived.
Home Delivery Project is a contract product. For more information, call us on tel. 810 00 710.
