Each part of Bring Logistics has a rich and productive history. Following is the Nor-Cargo story.

2008

  • Nor-Cargo AS, Box Solutions AS and the parcel post division of Norway Post become Bring Logistics AS.
  • Norway Post acquires CombiTrans AB, a Swedish logistics leader with an extensive transport network to southern and eastern Europe, and turnover (2007) of 540 MSEK.
  • Nor-Cargo acquires Sykkylven-based Emdal Transport & Spedisjon AS. Established in 1960, Emdal has its own extensive Norwegian distribution network and terminal at Straumgjerde. Turnover (2007) was 87 MNOK.
  • Nor-Cargo web pages adopt the same green profile applied earlier to other applications.
  • Nor-Cargo and its sister companies in the Norway Post Group adopt a distinct green colour for vehicles and other applications, as part of the new branding initiative.

2007

  • Nor-Cargo acquires outstanding shares in Transflex AB to strengthen its international offering.

2006

  • Nor-Cargo AS buys Holmskau Transport AS to strengthen its position in Østfold.
  • AgilityLogistics (GeoLogistics) is selected as global agent for Air&Sea.
  • Nor-Cargo AS buys Blomquist Transport and Spedisjon AS to strengthen its international offering.
  • Nor-Cargo AS and Nor-Cargo Holding AS are merged.
  • Nor-Cargo buys Scanex B.V. in the Netherlands.
  • Nor-Cargo acquires outstanding shares in Nor-Cargo Thermo Holding AS.

2005

  • Nor-Cargo buys 100% of Nor-Cargo Tromsø AS, absorbing it and its subsidiaries into Nor-Cargo AS.
  • Nor-Cargo terminates collaboration with Nor Lines (formerly Nor-Cargo Shipping AS).
  • Nor-Cargo AS buys Eurodynamic AS in order to strengthen its international offering.
  • Nor-Cargo buys HSD Transport AS and absorbs it into Nor-Cargo AS. Thermo businesses in Nor-Cargo Thermo AS and Johs. Lunde are merged into Nor-Cargo Thermo Holding AS.

2004

  • Posten Norge AS buys Nor-Cargo.
  • Nor-Cargo buys outstanding shares in Nor-Cargo Haugesund AS and absorbs it into Nor-Cargo AS.
  • Nor-Cargo buys outstanding shares in Nor-Cargo Danmark AS.

2003

  • Nor-Cargo Pakke-Trans AS changes name to Nor-Cargo Bedriftspakke AS.
  • Nor-Cargo ASA changes name to Nor-Cargo Holding ASA.
  • Nor-Cargo increases its holdings in Nor-Cargo Danmark AS to 50%.
  • Nor-Cargo sells Nor-Cargo Limited and Nor-Cargo Transport Ltd, UK.
  • Nor-Cargo buys Nor-Cargo Stavangerske AS, Nor-Cargo Bodø AS, Nor-Cargo Svolvær AS, Nor-Cargo Helgeland AS and Nor-Cargo Narvik AS, merging them into Nor-Cargo AS and Nor-Cargo Thermo AS.
  • Nor-Cargo Holding ASA buys 50% of Nor-Cargo Haugesund AS.
  • Nor-Cargo sells Nor-Cargo Shipping AS.

2002

  • Nor-Cargo ASA buys 41.5% of KS AS Tananger.
  • Nor-Cargo Invest AS is merged into Nor-Cargo ASA.

2001

  • Nor-Cargo buys Stavangerske Linjefart AS.
  • Nor-Cargo Shipping AS buys AS Mørerutene.
  • Nor-Cargo Shipping AS buys Kystservice.
  • All nautical activities at Nor-Cargo are organised under Nor-Cargo Shipping AS (Stavangerske Linjefart AS and AS Mørerutene are merged in) and moved from Trondheim to Stavanger.
  • Nor-Cargo Bergenske AS buys and absorbs Kystterminalen Bergen.
  • Nor-Cargo buys Nor-Cargo Rana AS.
  • Nor-Cargo (40%) and Seatrans (60%) establish Sea-Cargo AS/Sea-Cargo Ships AS.
  • Nor-Cargo KS AS changes name to Nor-Cargo ASA.

2000

  • Headquarters moves from Trondheim to Oslo.
  • Travel agency division of Nor-Cargo Bergenske AS is sold.

1999

  • Swe-Parcel AB is sold.
  • Nor-Cargo buys Nor-Cargo Larvik AS.
  • Nor-Cargo Thermo AS and Nor-Cargo Bil AS are merged.
  • Drammen, Kristiansand and Brumunddal are divested from Nor-Cargo Oslo AS and established as their own enterprise.
  • Nor-Cargo Danmark AS is established by Nor-Cargo Oslo AS. Ownership is Nor-Cargo Oslo AS (25%) and two Danish agents.

1997

  • Swe Parcel AB is established as a subsidiary of Pakke-Trans AS.
  • Nor-Cargo France is established as a subsidiary of Nor-Cargo Thermo AS.

1996

  • Sties Thermo Transport AS changes its name to Nor-Cargo Thermo AS.

1995

  • Nor-Cargo opens operations in Fredrikstad and Sortland.
  • Nor-Cargo buys Pakke-Trans AS.

1994

  • Nor-Cargo buys Norsk Flyfrakt AS and Toralf Pedersen AS.
  • The airfreight enterprises are merged as Nor-Cargo Airfreight AS.
  • The Toralf Pedersen AS traffic network is absorbed by Nor-Cargo Oslo AS.

1993

  • K/S Nor-Cargo AS and K/S Nor-Cargo International A/S are formally merged under the name Nor-Cargo AS.

1989

  • RoNoTro A/S sells its purchased companies to K/S Nord-Poolen A/S.
  • In September, Nord-Poolen changes its name to Nor-Cargo, while K/S Nor-Cargo A/S is re-christened Nor-Cargo International.

1988

  • RoNoTro A/S is established. RoNoTro A/S buys Bergenske DS and its subsidiaries from Kosmos (including K/S Nor-Cargo, Nordenfjeldske DS and the large automotive RORO carriers Norske Godslinjer and Sties T-T, as well as the air cargo carrier NECAS).

1984

  • Nord-Poolen enters a ’space charter’ agreement with the Coastal Steamer companies, purchasing goods capacity and answering for marketing and booking of cargo.

1981

  • Coastal shipping line K/S Nord-Poolen A/S is formed as a limited partnership. The company assumes ownership of the pool’s 16 ships, while the individual shipowners answer for technical and nautical operations. A fleet reduction becomes necessary and, in 1985, the number of ships is halved.

1979

  • North Sea shipping line Nor-Cargo A/S established.

1971

  • Coastal cooperation Nord-Poolen established, comprising Be-No-Ve, Ofotens DS, Narvik DS and Nordlandske DS.

1967

  • Be-No-Ve co-operation established, comprising Bergenske DS, Nordenfjeldske DS and Vesteraalske DS.
